David Ewing - Reservoir Dogs, Barking
My wife, Lucy, has re-channeled her tireless energy as an educator with Boulder Valley schools to a new position promoting social justice at the YWCA Boulder County.
I have committed to participating and raising funds for the YWCA Dash and Bash – an event that brings together a community of passionate and diverse individuals to connect and raise funds that will change the world by supporting the YWCA Boulder County’s mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
It takes courage, compassion and commitment to empower women and eliminate racism. For more than 95 years, YWCA Boulder County has been providing vital services to women and children and offering programs to help eliminate racism for 6,000 of our community members. With the help of hundreds of YWCA volunteers, YWCA connects with students across Boulder County to create understanding, empathy and reduce bullying through Reading to End Racism. Talented and motivated Latina high school girls have a strong support network through the Latina Achievement Support mentorship program. Children’s Alley is the only drop-in, temporary childcare center, serving 600 children each year, and offering extended hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to support families in need, including families with children with special needs.
Like YWCA Boulder County, I have courage, compassion and commitment and that’s why I’m committed to participating in YWCA Dash and Bash. I’ve set an ambitious goal to support the YWCA and hope that you’ll join with me! The money raised will help these essential, empowering programs to continue thriving.I would love if you would join me on Sunday September 29 at the Boulder Reservoir or make a pledge to support this important work.
Thanks in advance,
Dave Ewing
