It's a Family Affair
The Wilson Family has formed a team for the YWCA Dash and Bash - an event that brings together a community of passionate and diverse individuals to connect and raise funds that will change the world by supporting the YWCA Boulder County’s mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. I have served on the board of the YWCA for this past year and these are the values that we hold dear as a family and try to teach our kids.
Harper and Olive will both be running the 1 Mile and me and Gabriel will be running the 5k! Luckily, I started my training 3 days ago..haha. This should be fun:)
It takes courage, compassion and commitment to empower women and eliminate racism. For over 95 years, YWCA Boulder County has been providing vital services to women and children and offering programs to help eliminate racism for 6,000 of our community members. With the help of hundreds of YWCA volunteers, YWCA connects with students across Boulder County to create understanding, empathy and reduce bullying through Reading to End Racism. Talented and motivated Latina high school girls have a strong support network through the Latina Achievement Support mentorship program. Children’s Alley is the only drop-in, temporary childcare center, serving 600 children each year, and offering extended hours, including evenings and Saturdays to support families in need, including families with children with special needs.
Like YWCA Boulder County, our family has courage, compassion and commitment and that’s why we're committed to participating in the YWCA Dash and Bash this year. We’ve set an ambitious goal to support the YWCA and hope that you’ll join with us! The money raised will help these essential, empowering programs to continue thriving.
Thank you and wish us luck!
