Kenitra is Free and Forty!
Three years ago, on the day before my 37th birthday, I said, "enough!" and stepped into freedom. One of the essential keys for that exit to be successful was my financial independence. Celebrate a new decade of freedom, love and kindness with me! Help me reach my goal of $4000 to support this cause that is so very close to my heart.
One of the roadblocks many survivors face is financial dependence on their abuser. Without financial independence, many survivors feel they have no other option but to go back. YWCA is on a mission to empower survivors through job training, housing assistance, financial literacy programs and more because they know the Power of the Purse is freedom from abuse.
Like YWCA Greater Lafayette, I believe that with support, empowerment and financial assistance, we can remove barriers so that victims of domestic violence can not only survive, but thrive in independent lives, free from abuse and control. That’s why I’m committed to raising $4000 for YWCA Greater Lafayette's Power of the Purse. I’ve set an ambitious goal to support YWCA and hope that you’ll join with me! The money raised will help these essential, empowering programs to continue thriving.
