We have formed a team to participate and raise funds for YWCA Greater Lafayette's Power of the Purse – a fundraising campaign for survivors of domestic violence in Tippecanoe and surrounding counties.

One of the roadblocks many survivors face is financial dependence on their abuser. Without financial independence, many survivors feel they have no other option but to go back. YWCA is on a mission to empower survivors through job training, housing assistance, financial literacy programs and more because they know the Power of the Purse is freedom from abuse.

Like YWCA Greater Lafayette, we believe that with support, empowerment and financial assistance, we can remove barriers so that victims of domestic violence can not only survive, but thrive in indpendent lives, free from abuse and control.
